Ground particle boards consist of three layers: dense core and homogeneous exterior layers. Movable mat is formed from dried particles, covered in adhesive by dry method. Exposed to high temperature, spread adhesive is hardening under the press and joins particles, which gives strength to a board.
High strength is peculiar to ground particle boards. They are used in furniture industry, woodwork and facing works.
